Summer Music Festival
Daley Biddle has always loved orchestral music, and fell in love with the violin as a child. She began by playing in her school’s orchestras while playing piano at home and performing as a singer and actress in musical theater productions. In high school she joined a local youth orchestra and began studying violin at the age of 16 with a member of The Phoenix Symphony.
Daley received her Bachelor’s degree in violin performance from Arizona State University, and later received her Master’s degree from Northwestern University under Blair Milton of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. While at Northwestern, she also worked closely with early music specialist David Douglass and studied chamber music under Mathias Tacke. She has played with many orchestras, including The Phoenix Symphony, the Northbrook Symphony Orchestra, the Erie Philharmonic, the Ashland Symphony Orchestra, and the Mansfield Symphony Orchestra, where she has also served as concertmaster. She continues to play in the Mansfield Symphony and in various other ensembles around northeast Ohio while also maintaining a private studio. In addition to being a performer, Daley worked as an intern and assistant librarian for The Phoenix Symphony, and is currently on staff with The Cleveland Orchestra. She currently plays a unique German violin from 1850.
